I keep telling myself that I am going to get back to blogging what I eat every day. I AM GOING TO DO IT!! I CAN DO IT!! I tried on a wedding dress the other day and that really makes me want to do it!! My fear is that Christmas is coming and well I love to eat. Also I have a problem telling myself no when it comes to food! I am going to take this day by day and see how it goes!!

Halloween
Happy Halloween! Today was pretty good, trying to get through loads of homework but I am ultimately keeping my head above water. My biggest temptation this week is wanting to plan the wedding! I just do not have time to do it and that is all I want to do! I am trying to fight the urge and thank goodness that Ryan is so involved. He has been working on getting the available places for our date!! So exciting!!!

October 10th!
Sorry! I have been crazy busy! Yes I know that I have been saying that for weeks but somehow I keep fitting more things into my schedule. Sleep has defintley been lacking lately. I did get some extremely exciting news! 5 people get cleared each year to go for out of state for internships. I AM ONE OF THE FIVE! Ryan and I had talked about going to Las Vegas for a while now. We made an official decision this week to move their when we get married. I will move out ot Vegas in May, to start my internship and once Ryan and I get married, Ryan will move out their to meet me. It has been a big week. I started looking at possible sites for me to intern at and I found a system that is very nice. It is a four hospital system and is absolutley gorgeous and state of the art. I LOVE IT! I am planning on checking it out around the end of December and hopefully interviewing on Spring Break. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!
Anyway! Operation get fit has been going okay. I have been staying at my calorie intake goals but the calories have not been very healthy choices. I have had a huge craving for chocolate! It will not stop. I have not had all that much time to work out I did fit in some cardio today. But I wasn't a huge fan of the dvd. I am not sure if its the workout moves or if the super happy size 0 girl telling me that losing weight is fun. For the record it is not fun.

Weekend Fun
Wow! This weekend was a blast. I stuck to my diet pretty well exept for the alcohol. That adds up extremely fast. The end of the weekend was not so fun. I had to say good-bye to Ryan's parents. They are moving to Las Vegas. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do and I balled through the whole thing. I know they have to go but I miss them already. I will post tonight what I ate today!

Sept 12th
Sorry I am a little behind but I will fit blogging into my daily routine again! Life has just been crazy. I am up every morning at 6:30 and out the door by 8 for class until at least 5. Plus I got this bright idea to be an on campus RSO (registered student organization) president. Talk about time consuming. Also I just got into an honor society which I am pumped about but thats more meetings and more community service. I have these two and then two more HCMA and AHIMA. YIKES! What was a thinking!! Not only do I have RSO's I still have homework and I have to fit in sleeping and working out! Most of the time I do not got both in and I have been choosing sleep.

The Weekend!
Wow! The weekend was so much fun but I have to admit my diet did not go well. I did just fine on Saturday but Sunday and Monday, were not so good. Ryan's Aunt Connie is a fabulous cook and well I had to eat it. MAN NO SELF CONTROL! Not only did I eat I also drank. I had 4 glasses of wine and 3 Smirnoff Twists! CALORIES! On our way home today we stopped and got McDonald's and I was starving so I ate it. I could not believe the number of calories in a meal. I had more calories in that meal then I did most days last week. 960 Calories for a Filet O' Fish meal. YIKES! I did not drink enough water and I definitely did not work out unless you count the Wii! At least I had fun!!!

Chicago! I love it here! Although it makes it extremely hard to stick to a diet! SO MUCH FOOD EVERYWHERE!!! I pretty much stuck to my diet until about 11:30 at night then I had cold pork sandwich! I was quite proud of myself though on our way to Brandon's football game, we stoppeed at McDonald's for lunch and I resisted all urge to get some! Yay me! I have not had fast food in quite some time but usually I am by myself while I am driving so its real easy to resist but it was not as bad as I thought, I just ate my granola bar and fed french fries to Justin!

Today I traveled to Chicago!!! So excited to be here! But driving in the car is definitely not the place for eating healthy and well obviously not working out. Breakfast: 1 cup of Special K, 2/3 cup of skim milk and 1/3 cup of strawberries = 200 Calories
Snack: South Beach Diet Granola Bar = 100 Calories
Lunch: Spaghetti = 180 Calories
Snack: 1 cup of Cantaloupe = 53 Calories
Dinner: Ryan and I ate at Bennigans! Yummy but I am sure it was full of calories. They did not have a low calorie or low fat meal, so I only ate half of my food and was hoping I didn't ruin the whole week of counting calories!
Total Calories: 533 Calories plus whatever my dinner was probably another 600.
Workout: 45 minute walk around campus! It was so nice! The only bad part was I had to carry my massive bookbag along the way.
Water Intake: 2.5 Liters! Still need to work at this!!!
I am totally excited for this weekend. It will be so nice to see everyone. I am hoping I can still remain true to my diet.

Today was crazy! Class for 14 hours is not fun!! I am feeling quite frustrated Ryan and I are trying to find me a nice but reasonable laptop! Easier said than done. I am not sure what I would do if Ryan wasn't a computer genius! Today eating wise went extremely well and I do good drinking water while I am at school but the second I walk into my apartment I totally forget about drinking. Must work on it!!!

After consulting my dietitian aka my sister Sara. I realized I was going about this all wrong. She informed me that I have to eat 1200 calories which is almost double what I ate yesterday. I ate 3 meals today along with 3 snacks and I still almost 300 calories short of what I am suppose to be at. I never thought I would be having trouble getting enough calories. This is tough and a lot of planning. So I headed to the gym tonight, it had to be 100 degrees in the gym and after 20 minutes on the elliptical and instead of waiting in line for the stair master and every weight machine, I decided to call it a day. I burnt 300 calories so I guess that's not to bad. I am heading to the gym around 6 am tomorrow to try to beat the college kids rush. The gym will get better in a couple of weeks everyone is really serious about working out before school gets tough. Hopefully morning will be much better!

Breakfast: 1 cup of Cantaloupe and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese = 133 Calories

Today was my first day of the semester which for me is always a little intimidating. I have 19 credits which is not unnormal for me but my classes seem extremely tough this semester. The good thing is that 6 out of my 7 classes are healthcare classes which I absolutley love. I guess there are some advantages to being in the last year of your program! I did not make it to the gym today which I am a little bummed about. After 6 classes today I am just not feeling it right now which is also concerning me. I guess I will take this one day at a time and see how it goes. I am hoping I can stay motivated in my studies and in my dieting.

Day 1!
As I begin this first day of my final fall semester, I find myself extremely unhappy by two things. First of all the way my body appears to me and also the fact that I have stopped eating healthy and working out everyday. I will use this blog to track my feelings, how much I exercised for the day and what I ate with the total calorie counts for the day. My goal is to blog every night before I go to bed. I feel this will keep me aware of exactly what I am eating and burning off on a daily basis.
