August 31st

Today I traveled to Chicago!!! So excited to be here! But driving in the car is definitely not the place for eating healthy and well obviously not working out. I did get time earlier in the day to get in a 30 minute walk so I guess that is okay. I definitely did not eat enough today. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

Food Intake:
Breakfast: South Beach Diet Granola Bar and 1 cup of Skim Milk: 190 Calories
Lunch: Lean Cuisine Almond Chicken and Rice: 260 Calories
Snack: South Beach Diet Granola Bar: 100 Calories
Snack: South Beach Diet Granola Bar: 100 Calories
Total Calories: 650 Calories

Total water intake: 1.5 Liters

August 30th

Food Intake:
Breakfast: 1 cup of Special K, 2/3 cup of skim milk and 1/3 cup of strawberries = 200 Calories
Snack: South Beach Diet Granola Bar = 100 Calories
Lunch: Spaghetti = 180 Calories
Snack: 1 cup of Cantaloupe = 53 Calories
Dinner: Ryan and I ate at Bennigans! Yummy but I am sure it was full of calories. They did not have a low calorie or low fat meal, so I only ate half of my food and was hoping I didn't ruin the whole week of counting calories!
Total Calories: 533 Calories plus whatever my dinner was probably another 600.

Workout: 45 minute walk around campus! It was so nice! The only bad part was I had to carry my massive bookbag along the way.

Water Intake: 2.5 Liters! Still need to work at this!!!

I am totally excited for this weekend. It will be so nice to see everyone. I am hoping I can still remain true to my diet.

August 29th

Today was crazy! Class for 14 hours is not fun!! I am feeling quite frustrated Ryan and I are trying to find me a nice but reasonable laptop! Easier said than done. I am not sure what I would do if Ryan wasn't a computer genius! Today eating wise went extremely well and I do good drinking water while I am at school but the second I walk into my apartment I totally forget about drinking. Must work on it!!!

Food Intake:
Breakfast: 1 Cup of Special K Cereal and 1/2 Cup of Skim Milk = 155 Calories
Snack: South Beach Diet Granola Bar = 100 Calories
Lunch: Healthy Choice Soup = 180 Calories
Snack: Pretzels = 150 Calories
Dinner: Lean Cuisine and Green Beans = 315 Calories
Snack: Grape Tomatoes and Creamy Italian Dressing and Strawberries = 135 Calories
Total Calories: 1035 Calories

Water Intake: 4 Liters
Workout: 35 Minutes on the Elliptical

August 28th

After consulting my dietitian aka my sister Sara. I realized I was going about this all wrong. She informed me that I have to eat 1200 calories which is almost double what I ate yesterday. I ate 3 meals today along with 3 snacks and I still almost 300 calories short of what I am suppose to be at. I never thought I would be having trouble getting enough calories. This is tough and a lot of planning. So I headed to the gym tonight, it had to be 100 degrees in the gym and after 20 minutes on the elliptical and instead of waiting in line for the stair master and every weight machine, I decided to call it a day. I burnt 300 calories so I guess that's not to bad. I am heading to the gym around 6 am tomorrow to try to beat the college kids rush. The gym will get better in a couple of weeks everyone is really serious about working out before school gets tough. Hopefully morning will be much better!

Breakfast: 1 cup of Cantaloupe and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese = 133 Calories
Lunch: Lean Cuisine Chicken with Almonds = 260 Calories
Snack: South Beach Diet Granola Bar = 100 Calories
Dinner: Lemon Italian Chicken, 1 1/2 cups of Green Beans, and 1 cup Cantaloupe = 225 Calories
Snack: 12 Grape Tomatoes with 2 tbsp of creamy Italian dressing = 115 Calories
Snack: Pretzels = 100 Calories

Total Calories = 933 Calories

Workout- 20 Minutes

August 27th

Today was my first day of the semester which for me is always a little intimidating. I have 19 credits which is not unnormal for me but my classes seem extremely tough this semester. The good thing is that 6 out of my 7 classes are healthcare classes which I absolutley love. I guess there are some advantages to being in the last year of your program! I did not make it to the gym today which I am a little bummed about. After 6 classes today I am just not feeling it right now which is also concerning me. I guess I will take this one day at a time and see how it goes. I am hoping I can stay motivated in my studies and in my dieting.

Breakfast: Oops Skipped That One! Was running a little late this morning!
Lunch: Healthy Choice Soup 180 Calories
Snack: South Beach Diet Granola Bar 100 Calories
Dinner: Chicken Spaghetti and Sugar Free Jello Cup: 310 Calories

Day 1!

As I begin this first day of my final fall semester, I find myself extremely unhappy by two things. First of all the way my body appears to me and also the fact that I have stopped eating healthy and working out everyday. I will use this blog to track my feelings, how much I exercised for the day and what I ate with the total calorie counts for the day. My goal is to blog every night before I go to bed. I feel this will keep me aware of exactly what I am eating and burning off on a daily basis.
